Constitution of FOG

ARTICLE ONE

Section 1.0. FOG is a think tank forum which encourages ordinary people from different religions, professions, careers and countries to come together to debate issues and brainstorm ideas to make this world kinder and less violent. The branch which makes the final decision on issues up for debate is called the House of Friends. It is comprised of elected or appointed members of FOG.

The House of Friends shall be made up of twenty-two Caucuses:

ARTICLE TWO

Section 2.0. Members' Mission: To debate the issues that confronts our world fearlessly, impartially, and with probity and to arrive at decisions that will create a worldwide positive behavior modification plan to implement these decisions. This will be accomplished through educational and spiritual self-improvement programs, and the encouragement of selfless acts of kindness and generosity.

Section 2.0 A. What is FOG? FOG stands for Friends of God. (God is used here not as a religious term but a unifying force)

Section 2.0 B. Who can be a Member? Any person who is at least 18 years of age or older and wants to better himself or herself, and also play a roll to making this world kinder and less violent.

Section 2.0 C. A member is called a θεós φíλos (Greek, meaning Friend of God) There are four levels in the hierarchy of a θεós φíλos™
Level 1. θεós φíλos: For all new or existing members.
Level 2. Order of the Bronze Heart (θεós φíλos, Obh) An award given to a member who has earned 1,000 Stars for verified good deeds. A member must obtain 1,000 Stars to be eligible for an Order of the Bronze Heart.
Level 3. Order of the Silver Heart (θεós φíλos, Osh) An award given to a member who has earned 5,000 Stars for verified good deeds. A member must obtain 5,000 Stars for verified good deeds to be eligible for an Order of the Silver Heart.
Level 4. Order of the Gold Heart (θεós φíλos, Ogh) An award given to a member who has earned 10,000 Stars for verified good deeds. A member must obtain 10,000 Stars for verified good deeds to be eligible for an Order of the Gold Heart.

Section 2.0 D. FOG membership may be retained for life. Members are sought from people from all walks of life, ethnic backgrounds, religions, professions, and countries. Members take an oath to help other members if they have the opportunity, desire, and means. Members may register anonymously or use an alias if desired. But members seeking help who use aliases must disclose their identity to the office of membership before they can post a help classified. You can't post a help classified if you register with an alias.

All members will receive a FOG pin and a membership certificate by mail upon registration. Members are encouraged to proudly wear their pins. It is a beautiful and classy pin. A member who disgraces the FOG through immoral or inhumane acts will be banished from FOG forever. If such member has an award, the award will be withdrawn.

Section 2.0 E. How to Use a Title
Within or outside the circle, a member may use his/her title. For example, a member who received an award of the Order of the Silver Heart may be referred to as: θφ. Peter Andrews, Osh. θφ (Greek alphabets, "θ" for Theo, meaning God. "φ" for Philos, meaning Friend. Osh (meaning, Order of the Silver Heart.

Section 2.0 F. What is FOG's Definition of a Good Deed?
A good deed is any help given to preserve or enhance the quality of life of a fellow person who is not related by blood or family ties to the giver or receiver. A good deed may also be defined as a selfless act that saves a community or uplifts the spirit and image of a community.

Section 2.0 G. Award of Stars
The Award Committee of the House of Friends shall have the power to evaluate the significance of a member's good deed and award stars accordingly. A member may not receive more than 500 stars for one good deed no matter what the good deed is. For a member to earn 500 stars for one good deed, that good deed must have saved a life or lives and must be proven with probity. A member will earn 20 stars for every new member he/she brings into membership of FOG. However, no member shall be awarded more than 500 stars for bringing in new members no matter how many members he/she brings in his/her lifetime. By a "Yes" vote of at least 75 percent of the Representative of the House of Friends, an honorary award of the Order of the Gold Heart, Ogh, may be awarded to dying member or a dying non member who is not an atheist and has had a proven positive impact in peoples lives, country, or community.

Section 2.0 H. How Does FOG Verify a Good Deed Performed by a Member?
When a member performs a good deed, he/she or whomever it may concern may report the good deed to the Award Committee of the House of Friends. The Committee will verify the act and, if the good deed deserves an award, the member will receive a certain number of stars as determined by the Award Committee of The House of Friends.

Section 2.0 I. FOG House of Friends.
The House of Friends of FOG shall be made up of 36,245 elected members from the Chambers of FOG, worldwide. Candidates running for the House of Friends must do so within their Alliance. Candidates with the highest votes from each alliance will take the seats available for that Alliance (Country).

Section 2.0 J.
Any member of FOG may run for office as a Representative of the Congress of the House of Friends. In the absence of a full House, members will be randomly selected to fill vacant seats in the House of Friends.

Section 2.0 K.
There shall be 36,245 seats in the House of Friends. Seats are as follows:

Section 2.0 L. 18,500 members or 51 percent of the seats are required to reach a quorum for all matters coming before the Congress of the Friends of Friends.

Section 2.0 M. The Power of One
Any member who would like to propose the adoption of a new principle for the entire member population may petition all the represented Caucuses of the House of the Friends of Friends. If he/she receives 20 percent support from at least two Caucuses, he/she can then submit the petition to The House of Friends. For a member's petition to be recommended to all members, the petition must receive 51 percent support of the House of Friends.

The head of the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association or his/her designee shall retain the right to veto such a recommendation by the Representative of the House of the Friends if he/she believes that the adoption of the recommendation will damage the Foundation and ideals from which FOG was created. The House of Friends reserves the right to override the veto by 98 percent approval of all seats of the House of Friends.

Section 2.0 N. Membership oath: FOG members agree to abide by the following rules:

Never use racial, vulgar, or any other indecent words or comment on a fellow member or other people.

To be kind, caring, and compassionate to fellow members or to other people. Seek to help or be helped should a fellow member or other people need the kind of help we can give, or should a fellow member or other people seek to provide to us the kind of help that we need respect the religion, race, sex, and national origin of fellow members and other people.

Dedicate ourselves to doing what they believe is good and beneficial to our neighbor, community, and country for as long as we shall live, and in doing our part, we pledge to leave this world a better place than they we were born into it.

Section 2.1. Membership Requirements.
Any living person who is at least 18 years of age or older and wants to better himself or herself, and also play a roll to making this world kinder and less violent.

Section 2.2. Offices.
FOG will maintain its headquarters in Minneapolis, as an international outreach of the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association dedicated to making this world kinder and less violent. FOG may maintain office branches anywhere in the world as the House of Friends may authorize.

Section 2.3. Purpose.
FOG is organized to make this world kinder and less violent, to good deeds, and enhance the quality of human life through program development, generosity and random acts of kindness.

Section 2.4. Seal of FOG.
The seal of FOG is a circle with a drowning victim caught up in a wave, and a helping hand reaching out from above to save him with a Greek inscription at the bottom that reads "?eós fí?os" meaning "Friends of God" abbreviated as "FOG." All members are encouraged to wear this seal on a pin every day.

ARTICLE THREE

HOUSE OF FRIENDS
OF THE CHAMBERS OF FOG


Section 3.1. House of God Friends Member.
Members of the House of Friends of FOG are elected by FOG members in the country from which a member is seeking to be elected, and for a two-year term. The initial members of the House of Friends of FOG may be appointed until the first worldwide election is held. The initial member shall serve a term of one year and be eligible to run for re-election to two-year terms thereafter. However, in all cases, members shall serve until their successors have been elected and qualified. The House of Friends of FOG shall consist of 36,245 members from 257 countries. Therefore, the House of Friends Representative must have a 65 percent majority vote of agreement of all members (not members present). Any and all decisions made by the House of Friends must be decisions to educate the mind, body, and soul of an individual or individuals only. Government lobbying for any particular purpose or supporting any candidate running for a political office in any manner, form, or shape is prohibited under this constitution. Notwithstanding as might be written on any paragraph of this constitution, majority vote must include votes of all members with seats, not just that of members present at that particular meeting.

Section 3.2. Number, Election, and Term.
The number of members to serve on the House of Friends of FOG may be amended by a 75 percent "yes" vote by the Representative of the Congress of the House of Friends. When a seat becomes vacant in the House of Friends, the current members from the country from where the seat becomes vacant shall fill it by an immediate election.

Section 3.3. Powers.
The activities of FOG shall be managed by the members' created committee groups in conjunction with the official committee groups. The official committee groups shall include, the Outreach Committee group, which shall represent the public relation arms of FOG. This group will be responsible for promoting the recommendation of the House of Friends to the world. (There will be no political agenda or an attempt to affect any country's political elections whether on a local or national level. Any member who makes such attempt will be banished from the chambers of FOG.)

The second official committee group shall be the Treasury. This group will be responsible for initiating the donation drive and managing the funds for the activities of the Chambers of FOG. This committee shall raise funds under the umbrella of the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association. The third official Committee group shall be the Committee and sub-committees on Fairness and Equity. This group shall be responsible for everything that does not come under the Outreach or the Finance Committee. However, the power to make persuasive recommendations to the entire member population and groups shall be vested in the House of Friends. Any member who faces discipline in the Chambers of FOG may request a hearing of his grievances and defense through the Committee of Fairness and Equity. During this hearing, 12 members of FOG will be selected randomly to hear his/her grievances and defense. The decision of the 12 hearers will be final unless overturned on appeal by the House of Friends.

Section 3.4. Meetings; Quorum.
Regular meetings of the House of Friends shall be held online at the Congress of FOG or at such places, within or outside the United States, and on such days and at such times as shall be fixed from time to time by the members. Rules of procedure for the conduct of such meetings shall be adopted by resolution of the members. Notice of such regular meetings need not be given. A majority of the House of Friends shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business, but a lesser number may adjourn to another day if a quorum is not present. The act of the majority of the members present at a meeting at which a quorum is present shall be the act of the House of Friends, unless the act of a greater number is required by this Constitution. Special meetings of the members may be held at any time, upon the call of the Speaker of the House of Friends by e-mail notice delivered to each member not fewer than three (3) days before such meeting, provided, however, that any member may, at any time, in writing by e-mail, waive notice of any meeting. Attendance of a member at any meeting shall constitute a waiver of notice of the meeting except where a member attends a meeting for the express purpose of objecting to the transaction of any business because the meeting is not lawfully called or convened.

Section 3.5. Resignation and Filling of Vacancies of Members.
Any Member of the House of Friends may resign at any time by giving an e-mail notice of such resignation to the Speaker of the House of Friends of FOG. Any such resignation shall take effect if the members remaining constitute less than a quorum of the House of Friends. They may fill the vacancy by the affirmative vote of a majority of all the members in office. The death of any member shall be treated as a voluntary resignation by the House of Friends.

Section 3.6. Compensation of House of Friends
Members or General Members, as such, may not and will not receive compensation or be reimbursed for expenses of attendance at any meeting of the members. No member of the House of Friends shall receive financial compensation from the Chambers of FOG or Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association, unless that member is an employee of the Chambers of FOG or the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association. Membership and participation in its activities, groups, and forums is strictly on a volunteer basis.

Section 3.7. Groups.
The House of Friends of FOG or the official committee groups shall not interfere with the creation of any group committee by any member or members of FOG. The House of Friends or the official committee groups may not interfere with how the group conducts its activities unless such conduct is deemed criminal, immoral, unethical, or not in line with the purpose and mission of the Chambers of FOG.

Any member or members may organize a group within the Chambers of FOG for the purpose of fulfilling the purpose of FOG. All created groups shall be subject to the official committee groups. Any group or groups under repression from any of the official committee groups' regulation may appeal their grievances to the House of Friends for relief.

Section 3.8. Removal of Friends.
The House of Friends may, by resolution adopted by the affirmative vote of 66 percent or more of the House of Friends members, remove a fellow House of Friends member. Sixty-six percent of all members, not 66 percent of those members in attendance at the meeting, must vote in favor of removal for the resolution to pass.

ARTICLE FOUR

Section 4.1. Speaker of the House of FOG.
The Speaker of the House of Friends shall preside at all meetings of the members at which he or she is present and shall perform such other duties as the members of the House of Friends or this constitution may prescribe. Speaker of the house is elected by 51 percent of the Representative of the House of Friends and may serve a three-year term and eligible for another three-year term. The Speaker may be removed by a 60 percent vote of the Representative of the House of Friends.

Section 4.2. Director General and Order of the Chambers of the Friends of Friends.
The powers to manage all the group activities of the Chambers of FOG shall be vested in the Director General and Order of FOG. The Director General shall be in charge of nominating the chairs and deputy chairs of all official committees, and coalitions of FOG. All official committees and coalitions are under the administration of the Office of the Director General and Order of FOG. The Director General shall also have the power to remove committee chairs from office, and also issue the award of Stars to deserving members of FOG in confirmation with the House of Friends. All nominations made to the positions of committee chairmanship and deputy chairmanship shall be approved by the House of Friends. The Director General and Order of FOG shall be elected by a 51 percent majority vote of members of FOG. Any member of FOG who is at least 30 years old, may run for election for the office of the Director General and Order of FOG.

The Candidate for the office of the Director General is responsible for selecting his deputy who also will jointly run with him/her for the office. The duties of the Deputy Director General shall be defined by the Director General and Order of FOG. The Director General and Order of FOG shall have the powers to create new committees and coalitions. Such committees and coalitions must be approved by the House of Friends. The House of Friends shall have the power to remove the Director General from office by a 60 percent majority vote of the members of the House of Friends. The Chairman and Senior Evangelist of the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association or his/her designee shall have the right to petition the House of Friends to remove the Director General from office should the Head of Chambers of FOG believe that the Director General is leading the Chambers of FOG away from its ideals, mission, and reason for being. The Director General may only serve a three-year term and may be re-elected to another three-year term. Candidates running for election for the office of the Director General must do so within their coalition, and may only be voted for by members of their coalition. Candidates with the highest vote from among candidates running in that coalition must then be appointed by the leaders of that coalition to run at the worldwide semifinal election under division I or division II. Candidates with the highest vote in division one will face the candidate with the highest vote in division II. The candidate with at least 51 percent of the worldwide vote is elected as the Director General and Order of FOG.

ARTICLE FIVE

INDEMNIFICATION OF HOUSE OF FRIENDS MEMBER

Section 5.1. Indemnification of House of Friends Members.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, including future amendments of those laws, the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association shall indemnify and hold harmless each House of Friends member against any and all claims, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees, judgments, fines, and amounts paid in settlement) actually and reasonably incurred and arising from any threatened, pending, or completed action, suit, or proceeding, whether civil, criminal, administrative, or investigative, to which any such person shall have become subject by reason of having held such a position or having allegedly taken or omitted to take any action in connection with any such position. However, the foregoing shall not apply to: any breach of such person's duty of loyalty to the House of Friends; any act or omission by such person not in good faith or which involves intentional misconduct or where such person had reasonable cause to believe his conduct was unlawful; or any transaction from which such person derived any improper personal benefit.

ARTICLE SIX

SEXUAL ORIENTATION
No discussion regarding human sexual orientation that may be misconstrued as pro- or anti -gay, or pro-bisexual or anti-bisexual shall be discussed in the House of Friends. Members or group in violation of chapter six of this article shall be excluded from receiving awards or banished from the Chambers of FOG.

ARTICLE SEVEN

HEAD OF THE CHAMBERS OF FOG
The Chairman and Senior Evangelist of the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association or his designee shall be the Head of Chambers of FOG, and shall retain a veto power over the decision of the House of FOG, should the House of Friends intend to make recommendation to the general members that the Head of Chambers believes is contrary to the intention of the Founding Ideals, or that might negatively impact the mission of the Chambers of FOG. The Head of Chambers shall not participate in the deliberations of the House of Friends of FOG, or in the committee group deliberations of the Chambers of FOG. However, the Director General shall from time to time brief the Chairman of the Philip Jegede Evangelistic Association as to the activities of the Chambers of FOG. Neither the House of Friends of FOG, nor the general members of the Chambers of FOG, or its groups shall have any power or rights to amend the provision of Article Seven of this constitution.

ARTICLE EIGHT

MISCELLANEOUS

Section 8.1. Amendment of Constitution.
This Constitution may be amended by an 85 percent majority vote of the members of all seats of the House of Friends of FOG present, online or in person or by proxy at the annual meeting, at a special meeting called for that purpose, or by written consent. Such amendment must also be ratified by at least 60 percent of the general members of the Chambers of FOG. However, such amendment shall never become the rule or law of the Chambers of FOG unless signed by the Head of Chambers. The terms of service presented below this Constitution is hereby made a part of this constitution. All members of the Chambers of FOG are bound by the terms of the service agreement presented below.
